Many gardeners around the world use the Chinese method of growing tomatoes for seedlings.
For this you need:
Prepare the soil
It should be fertile with a neutral pH, not acidic. You can add a little bit of peat, about 1%. Pour the soil before planting the seeds with a 1.5% solution of potassium permanganate heated to +50 degrees. Do you buy ready-made in specialized stores.
Select quality seeds
It should be without damage, of the correct shape, not small and not empty.
Stratify the seeds
In an infusion of wood ash, 2 tsp. pour boiling water and let it infuse for 2 days, soak a cloth napkin, spread the tomato seeds and leave it for a day. Next, rinse with a 1.5% solution of potassium permanganate, leave until the morning, adding a growth stimulator, and then put it in the refrigerator for a day. Then plant the seeds in the soil.
Prepare the container
Take a box, put drainage litter on the bottom, about 2 cm thick, and pour soil on top. It can be pieces of foam or broken bricks.
Sow the seeds
Make furrows in the soil, spread the seeds according to the scheme of 4×2 cm, sprinkle with earth and lightly spray from a sprayer. Cover with film and transfer to the windowsill. Remove the film when the first steps appear.
Light the plants for 12 hours a day
Fit a phytolamp for this purpose.
Harden the seedlings
To do this, move the boxes with seedlings to a room where the temperature is 3-4 degrees lower than on the windowsill.
Prick the seedlings
When three true leaves appear, cut them with sharp scissors near the ground and transplant them into cups filled with soil. Cover with a film and put for 2-3 days in a dark place with a temperature of 15 degrees. Then again on the windowsill under the backlight. There is still a way to germinate seedlings. As soon as you cut the seedlings, put them in water up to the leaves for 7 days until the roots appear. Plant in cups, and then do as in the previous method.
Transplant into open ground
Plant according to the usual scheme.
Feed with fertilizers
The first time two weeks after planting in the soil: 1 tbsp. l. nitroammophosk per bucket of water. The second treatment is when two flower brushes appear.
