Sowing the seeds of luxurious petunia flowers is a simple and ordinary matter.
It does not matter in which container to sow petunia, the main condition is that the soil layer in it should be no more than 3-4 cm deep. Fill the container with fertile soil, tamp it a little and make furrows on the surface. To do this, take an ordinary school ruler, sink it into the ground to a depth of no more than 3 mm and at a distance of 3-4 cm from each other.
What to do next with petunia seeds?
Shake them with fine sand or wood ash and spread the petunia seeds in the furrows at a distance of 1.5-2 cm. Then shake the entire surface with a small amount of river sand so that it barely covers the seeds. Such sand holds moisture well and prevents infection of future young seedlings with black leg. Water the soil with a sprinkler so that it does not overmoisten it and the small and light petunia seeds do not float. After that, cover the container tightly with a film or ordinary glass and transfer it to another container, where you set the temperature to 22-25°С. It remains only to wait for the stairs.
After they appear, remove the container from the mini greenhouse, remove the film from it, but not immediately. Open and cover it from time to time until the seedling gets used to the conditions of the room in which it will grow. Next, lower the temperature a little, install additional lighting and continue to grow petunia on the windowsill.
After 2-2.5 months, under favorable weather conditions, plant young petunias bushes in a flower bed or in a flowerpot, or maybe in special boxes on the balcony.
