It is not practical to send British fighter jets to Ukraine – UK Government

British

The British Prime Minister’s spokesman stated that to send British fighter jets to Ukraine would be impractical at this moment of time.

The British Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson is quoted by the Evening Standard.

“The UK’s Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets are extremely sophisticated and take months to learn how to fly. Given that we believe that it’s not practical to send those jets into Ukraine,” he said.

“Obviously, we will continue to provide and accelerate our military support to Ukraine and listen carefully to their requests,” he added.

Answering to the question whether the Government of the United Kingdom will allow other allies to provide Ukraine with less advanced jets, he added: “We will continue to discuss with our allies about what we think is the right approach. We have just committed our Challenger tanks and moved in conjunction with our allies on that. Those tanks will be arriving fairly shortly.”

On Monday, US President Joe Biden stated that the United States do not plan to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Boris Johnson visits Bucha and Kyiv, meets with Zelenskyy

Johnson

Boris Johnson, the former UK Prime Minister, has come to Ukraine and visited the settlements of Bucha and Borodianka, Kyiv Oblast.

Previously, videos appeared on social media, and later Reuters correspondents posted a photo of Johnson in Bucha.

Later, Zelenskyy posted a video of his meeting with Johnson and thanked him for support.

As the Ukraine President’s Office said, they discussed the practical steps that Johnson can take for Ukraine. In particular, the preparation of the “peace summit”. The President emphasized that the best guarantee for Ukraine would be membership in NATO and that “it is important to promote this opinion.”

Johnson also asked Zelensky about the details of the situation at the front.

“Additional mobilization will not help Russia, its army lacks motivation. However, we need more weapons: tanks, planes, long-range missile weapons,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.

Prince William ignored reporters’ questions about his brother’s memoirs

Prince

Earlier, Prince Harry admitted that he had not spoken to his older brother and father for a long time.

Prince William ignored reporters’ questions about his younger brother Harry’s scandalous memoir.

The eldest son of King Charles III brushed off a reporter’s attempt to ask if he had read the Duke of Sussex’s biography, Spare, when the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out together for the first time since the memoirs were published.

“Your Royal Highness, have you even had a chance to read your brother’s book?” the reporter yelled twice, according to video taken by ITV.

The Prince of Wales did not respond to questions and quickly left the charity with his wife, 41-year-old Kate Middleton, who also ignored questions from reporters.

The royal couple previously visited the newly opened Liverpool University Hospital, where Prince William and Kate Middleton spoke to staff and learned more about the medical centre.
